The women's basketball team continued its play last week against two Southern Conference opponents and, unfortunately, extended its losing streak taking the Lady Paladins' record to 6-17 over all and 4-10 SoCon.
The week began with a tough game against the College of Charleston Cougars who, given their 16-6, 10-3 record, provided a formidable opponent for the Paladins.

The Furman women's tennis season has taken off - and it is sure to be another exciting year full of Southern Conference domination and most likely an 18th regular season championship.
The women's tennis program has historically dominated the Southern Conference, is ranked #72 by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) for the 2010 season.

The road woes continued for the Furman men's basketball team, falling to Southern Conference title contenders Wofford (15-8, 7-3 SoCon) on the road last Saturday, 57-46.
The loss brings the Paladins to 10-11 on the season, 4-6 in the conference and just 2-6 on the road.

Sunday's Super Bowl between the Indianapolis Colts and the New Orleans Saints has all the makings for a great game. Both teams arrived to the biggest night in American television with fairly similar paths - each team dominated much of the regular season before falling slightly in the last few games only to rise once again with good play in the playoffs.
